Oct 2010 World Vets Animalandia is happy to announce the success of our October clinic. There were 135 dogs and cats sterilized and vaccinated. The large clinics cost Animalandia approx. $9000 Pesos, with approx $4000 pesos in donations. We annually spend $1500 to $2000 USD, on medicine, not included donated meds. A huge thank you to Liz Bracken who hosted the 11 visiting volunteers. Liz hosted a welcome BBQ and then Liz was a trip leader with world Vets for a large animal clinic. Liz is a great asset to Animalandia. As always, Linda Nicholls and helpers provided awesome lunches each day, including the vets trip to Coronado. Huge thank yous to all that provided boats for a Coronado and Carmen outing. Also, a big thanks to Augie, Ron and Wendy and Kathy S from Nopolo for providing dinners for the vets and staff. Of course we can't say enough for all the volunteers who donate their time at the clinic, never complaining!! We couldn't conduct such productive clinics without all of you. All the visiting staff enjoyed their stay and could not say enough about the Loreto hospitality and are looking forward to a return trip. There are only 2 dogs available for adoption at this time. One is a young black lab mix (male, neutered). He is very sweet and quiet. He is residing at the clinic and is approx. 8 mo. old. The other is a German Shepard mix (approx. 5 mo. old). She is a spayed female and is currently being fostered by Linda Welch. She loves to play and is house broken. We are so hoping that these two pups find good homes. Please remember that Animalandia usually has dogs up for adoption so if you know of anyone looking for a dog please remember us. Also, please contact us if you should come across lost, injured or sick dogs so we can go pick them up hottuna07@gmail.com (Linda Welch) Thanks to all in Loreto for your continuing support. The Animalandia Team
